DPS - Governors Public Safety Summit
Governor Gary Herbert has asked the Utah Department of Public Safety to plan and facilitate a summit to bring together all emergency responders within the State of Utah at a conference to discuss emergency response, better working relationships between different functions, and emergency preparedness.
Commissioner Davenport, Department of Public Safety, has asked that two other Department of Public Safety sponsored conferences be combined with this conference. The Hazardous Materials Conference and the Public Officials Conference, will join the Governor's Public Safety Summit for one large, annual conference to be held during the first week of May 7-8, 2013 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. More information will follow.
We anticipate over 500 participants from around the state to attend this conference. The summit will feature two days of outstanding presentations and workshops.
A nationally known speaker has already confirmed to be our keynote speaker. Gordon Graham is a 33 year veteran of California Law Enforcement. His education as a Risk Manager, experience as a practicing Attorney, coupled with his extensive background in law enforcement, has allowed him to rapidly become recognized as a leading professional speaker in both private and public sector organizations with multiple areas of expertise.
